ICMA Announces New ACE Designees

Designees Will Be Recognized at the Inaugural ACE Reception at This Year’s EXPO

Princeton Junction, NJ – March 12, 2014 – The International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA) is proud to announce that 43 individuals have been recognized as the newest Advanced Card Education (ACE) certificate holders for 2014. These ACE designees will be honored at the 2014 ICMA EXPO in Ft. Lauderdale, FL from April 6–9, at a reception to be held on Tuesday, April 8.

The ACE designation is for card manufacturing, personalization and fulfillment professionals who have demonstrated knowledge in technologies and processes in specific card manufacturing and/or personalization/fulfillment areas. Applicants must work for an ICMA member company and have a minimum of two years of experience working in the card industry to be eligible for this certification.

“ICMA is thrilled to have added so many designees this year, and we look forward to recognizing all our ACE designees and their accomplishments at a reception at next month’s EXPO,” says Jeff Barnhart, executive director of ICMA.

ICMA offers two designations, ACE-M and ACE-P, each developed as a stand-alone certification and does not build upon, nor require the other designation as a precedent certification.

The ACE-M designation evaluates the skills and knowledge of card manufacturing professionals and is comprised of eight key sections: PVC/Plastics, Inks, Adhesives, Printing, Collation, Lamination, Die-cutting and Standards/Testing. The new ACE-M designees are:

From CPI Card Group: Steve Schow, Docia Myer, Antonio Porras, Steve Paul, Andy Sappenfield.

Others: Stephen Donnelly, Klockner Pentaplast; Dori Skelding, Visa; Philip Berrie, ITW Security and Brand Identity.

This year ICMA approved 25 individuals from Illinois-based company JET. This was the largest number of ACE-M designees ever certified from one company-sponsored training program.

From JET: Jennie Sapiega, Melissa Carlson, Bee Ruguone, Scott Cerney, Dan Olivarez, Fred Ciocci, Doug Keegan, Mike Odehnal, Bill Mickus, Keith McManus, Steve Hayes, Jeff Sproat, Jack Fuechsl, Paul Keske, Jason Beckman, Glenn Wojnowiak, Jim Waters, Dan Fleming, Tom DeCoster, Mike Damp, Kathy Tardiff, Jesus Jimenez, Mike McGray, Jerry Kostal and Cathy Kostal.
