Fiserv Names New CEO 

Fiserv has appointed Takis Georgakopoulos as CEO and board member, succeeding Mike Lyons, who stepped down to return to banking as CEO of Truist Financial Corp. Georgakopoulos, a payments and technology veteran with leadership experience at Fiserv and J.P. Morgan, is tasked with advancing the company’s strategy across financial and merchant solutions, including AI-driven modernization and long-term growth initiatives.

IDEMIA Strengthens Payments Leadership Team  

IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST) has appointed Elyette Roux as EVP Payment Services and Anastasia Serikova as EVP Digital Payment Solutions to strengthen leadership across both physical and digital payments. The appointments support IST’s strategy to build on its established position in physical cards and services while accelerating growth in tokenization, real-time payments and other digital payment solutions. 

Roux will lead IST’s Payment Services business, focusing on payment cards, products and related services. She brings more than 20 years of experience across industrial and technology sectors, including senior roles at Nexans, Schneider Electric, Dassault Aviation and Cisco. Her appointment comes as IST continues to see steady performance in physical card activities, including premium segments such as metal cards. 

Serikova will lead IST’s Digital Payment Solutions business, focusing on scaling digital platforms, launching new products and expanding into new markets and use cases. She joins from Visa, where she led Visa Direct in Europe and advanced real-time payment and money movement solutions. Together, Roux and Serikova will help IST support clients across an increasingly diverse payment ecosystem shaped by tokenization, real-time payments, post-quantum cryptography and rising expectations for secure, seamless transaction experiences.
