Barnes International continues to lead the personalization validation testing market by developing the first test tool to be fully qualified by Visa for the new Global Self-Service PVT process. Issuers, and card personalization bureaus on behalf of issuers, can now test their cards with the company’s qualified PVT tool. Adam Lowe, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at CompoSecure, addresses this with the company’s digital security platform, Arculus. Lowe suggests that while passwords remain effective, new levels of trust and authentication are necessary. CompoSecure’s solution involves “tap to authenticate” passkeys, allowing physical cards to double as secure digital authentication tools. These passkeys act as digital keys that verify user identity, with their security often relying on connected, internet-synced devices. This approach aims to integrate robust security into everyday payment methods.
