Fiserv May Grab Competitive Edge with New Bank Charter
Fiserv has gained a competitive edge by obtaining a merchant acquirer limited purpose bank (MALPB) charter in Georgia, allowing the payments processing giant to process credit and debit card transactions independently, without partnering with banks. This new capability enables Fiserv to “own the entire transaction,” potentially allowing it to undercut competitors on pricing. The company had applied for the charter earlier in January, according to Tony DeSanctis from Cornerstone Advisors.

HID Partnership Brings Access Cards to Entra ID MFA Options
HID has announced a new integration with Microsoft Entra ID that allows enterprise employees to use their existing physical access cards as a multi-factor authentication (MFA) method for accessing Entra ID and Microsoft 365 resources.
