ACE Sets the Standard for Card Industry Knowledge

As the card industry continues to evolve, technical knowledge and proven expertise have never been more important. ICMA’s Advanced Card Education (ACE) program remains a leading professional development resource for card industry professionals seeking to strengthen their skills, validate their experience and earn industry-recognized accreditation.

Designed for card manufacturing professionals, ACE offers three levels of accreditation: ACE-M for Manufacturing, ACE-P for Personalization and ACE-A for Advanced Technologies. Together, these programs help individuals build specialized knowledge across the processes, technologies and quality considerations that define today’s global card industry.

ICMA has also expanded access to ACE with the launch of online ACE-M training. Available to both members and non-members, this flexible, self-paced program makes it easier for professionals around the world to participate while balancing busy work schedules. The pathway is simple: complete the training, apply for the exam and earn the credential. ACE exams are offered at ICMA events, including the ICMA EXPO and CardTREX, as well as through in-person group training programs.

For companies, ACE also supports workforce development. Organizations with 10 or more participants can arrange dedicated in-person training and exams, while ICMA member companies can save 15% when purchasing 10 or more ACE training courses through the HR Director Package.

ICMA also offers ACE-Commercial, an on-demand educational program created for sales, marketing and customer service professionals who want a stronger understanding of the card manufacturing business. The program provides practical insight into production processes, customer service challenges and broader industry dynamics, helping teams better support customers and contribute more effectively.

Whether pursued by an individual or as part of a team development strategy, ACE reflects the rigor, professionalism and industry knowledge that continue to move the card industry forward.
