Golf Outing Details:
ICMA’s optional Monday golf outing will take place at nearby Hawk’s Landing Golf Club. This 18-Hole Championship Golf Course was designed by noted golf architect Robert Cupp Jr., to create the perfect setting for challenging golf and a scenic blend of native Florida wildlife and tropical vegetation.
Hawk’s Landing Golf Club is 18-Holes of Championship Golf at its finest. Great location, perfect weather, satisfying long days and a Golf experience that rewards golfers of all skill levels. The course has a Par 70 layout, 6,200+ yards, and slope-rating 133.
We will have a scramble format, and a shotgun start. We’ll be tracking the top foursome, closest to pin and longest drive. Please be ready to meet in the hotel lobby at 7:30 to grab a coffee and depart for the Golf Club.
Cost: $150 includes greens fees, cart with touch screen GPS, practice facility usage, box lunch. On course beverage cart is the responsibility of the individual players.
Sign up by choosing it as an optional activity when you register for the EXPO. If you have already registered and would like to add the golf, please contact us for assistance and we will get you signed up!
ICMA Spouse Program
Registered spouses can join us for our two evening receptions, the Élan Awards dinner, as well as a spouse breakfast and an afternoon lunch and shopping outing.
On Wednesday, spouses will enjoy lunch at Ford’s Garage and shopping at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. Spouses will meet in the hotel lobby to be transported to this revered shopping area that has many designer stores – great for an afternoon of browsing and seeing the latest styles.
Ford’s Garage will give you the vibe of being in a 1920’s service station to include vintage Ford vehicles, gas pumps, and fixtures. Our bars feature prohibition-style elements of old brick, rich wood, and a hand-hammered copper bar top. Many more unique features, too numerous to list, really make the Garage a fun place to visit and take pictures! After lunch, spend a couple hours enjoying the shopping then return to the hotel.
You can add your spouse/partner at the end of the main delegate registration process.
Evening Networking Events
Tuesday, May 16 - ICMA’s Backyard Bar-b-que
Wear your casual summer clothes (golf shirts and shorts are welcome!) and join us Tuesday evening for an outdoor Bar-b-que (weather permitting!) featuring lively music, chilled cocktails, great food, and some fun outdoor lawn games to get some friendly competition going. You can’t have an outdoor summer party without a little bit of corn hole, bocce ball, and giant Jenga.
Wednesday, May 17 - Beach Party!
Hawaiian shirts and floral attire encouraged! Following the Élan Awards of Excellence, we will spend this evening tropical style! We’ll be serenaded by the sounds of the steel drums and beach tunes and enjoy some great food and networking.
